Multi-Storey Residential Painting in South Yarra
Bluestone OCM are an independent, transparent and service focussed Owners Corporation Management business. They manage complex and high-end buildings with resident amenities and a mix of owner occupiers and discerning tenants. This property, located in South Yarra, required painting and sealing of surfaces of the fire stair well over 4 levels and painting of the basement walls adjacent to the lift areas. The walls were raw blockwork and the stairs were standard concrete stairwells. Basement walls adjacent to the lift and access doors were standard plasterboard.
As part of the painting works, City Handyman consulted with clients and committee to ascertain desired colours and finishes. In the stairwell we used a tinted block filler undercoat followed by semi-gloss acrylic top coat to the stairwell walls and on the stairs we used Dulux LUXAFLOOR® LGE, a high solids, semi-gloss epoxy coating with excellent durability and chemical resistance against a range of solvents. A Dulux Luxafloor Coarse Stir In Aggregate was also used to obtain traction into the top coat of the stair treads. Colour used on the stairwell walls and stairs was Dulux ‘N35 Light Grey’. Basement plasterboard walls were painted and refreshed using Dulux low-sheen acrylic paint, digitally matched to the existing colour.
